                      Sigma Mu

Since the chapter's founding at The University of Texas at Dallas on March 29, 1996, we have sought to encourage college educated women to take an active role both on campus and in the community. We serve the campus of the University of Texas at Dallas through various events such as: Financial Fortitude - Smart Women Finish Rich, Zumba, REAL TALK social dialogues, and Fellowship. We support many causes in the DFW area and on the campus of UT Dallas on a daily basis, because we believe in taking ACTION. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. stands as the largest African-American sorority in the world and will continue to maintain the vision of Uncompromising Commitment to Communities through Service, Leadership, and Empowerment!

"I am honored to lead my chapter in continuing to uplift our sorority’s mission and making an impact on the community. This year is filled with new opportunities and challenges that I am ready to face head on. With service, scholarship and sisterhood in our hearts, I believe Sigma Mu will have an amazing spring semester!" -Sydney
